  • GAECO research group (Grupo de Análisis Económico de las Organizaciones) was created in the late 90s to leverage research efforts from professors specialized in Organizational Economics at the University of Oviedo.  The mission of the group is to promote theoretical and empirical investigation on the nature, behavior and governance of any type of organization using approaches drawn from economics and organizational and strategic theories.

Throughout these 20 years, the group has developed an intense research activity funded by competitive R&D calls at regional, national and European level.  Additionally our work has attracted financial support from different firms and public institutions.  Outcomes from this activity have been doctoral dissertations and publications in highly ranked journals.  At the same time, GAECO is concerned with the knowledge transfer to society organizing international conferences, workshops and summer courses. We also serve practitioners requirements and provide consultancy services both at private and public level.
